Your vacation begins the moment you arrive when you’re met at the airport by a private car that will take you to your deluxe 3BR cottage, tucked along the fairways of the Crooked Tree Golf Club at the luxurious Inn at Bay Harbor. Check in and spend the evening exploring the property, walking along the shore of Lake Michigan’s Little Traverse Bay, or having drinks and dinner in-room or at one of the inn’s onsite restaurants. Your cottage boasts all the comforts of home, including a gas fireplaces, three bedrooms, and a full kitchen. 

After a good night’s sleep, kick off the first full day of your amazing golf adventure with a morning tee time on the Links/Quarry Courses at Bay Harbor, just ten minutes from the cottage. Designed by Arthur Hills, and often referred to as the “Pebble Beach of the Midwest,” these two unique courses combine nine Scottish-style holes along the shoreline of the lake with nine holes set within the remains of a massive shale quarry to create a one-of-a-kind golf experience.

After a full morning on the greens at Bay Harbor, have lunch at the clubhouse before heading over to the Crooked Tree Golf Club for your afternoon tee time. At Crooked Tree, you’ll enjoy 18 championship holes with stunning panoramic views overlooking the water and lush, tree-lined fairways. Then, you can wrap up the day with some post-golf relaxation at the inn. 

The next morning, you’ll be driven in a private car to the Treetops Golf Resort about an hour away to spend the day playing two of their award-winning courses, starting with the premiere 18-hole Smith Signature Course. Designed by Rick Smith, this course was named the “Best Course in Michigan” by Golftime Magazine in 2018, and features sloping mounds, narrow fairways, and a challenging layout. You’ll lunch while you play and follow up the Signature Course with afternoon drinks in the clubhouse before an evening round of golf on the popular 9-hole Threetops Course. This fun, par 3 course, with gorgeous landscaping and photo-worthy vistas, was actually the first course ever designed by Rick Smith, and is considered the best par 3 in the US. Post-play, your driver will take you back to the Cottages at Bay Harbor where you can relax and enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure. 

On Day Four, pack up your belongings and head to Traverse City to enjoy two courses and an overnight stay at the renowned Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. Mid-morning, you’ll tee off at The Bear, a challenging, 18-hole course designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, featuring terraced fairways, grassy roughs, and deep pot bunkers, set within a landscape of trees, lakes, streams, and even a fruit orchard. This championship course, named the 18th toughest course in the US by Golf Digest magazine, is one you won’t want to miss.

In the afternoon, break for a quick lunch before moving on to play 18-holes of The Wolverine course, designed by Gary Player. The Wolverine boasts undulating greens and a lush surrounding landscape, with two distinctive nines—each with its own unique challenges and terrain. Enjoy lowland terrain and wetlands on the front nine or highland terrain with hardwoods and rolling hills on the back.

That evening, you can take advantage of the many amenities and activities offered by the Grand Traverse Resort before turning in for a relaxing night’s sleep in your two deluxe 2BR condos at the Grand Traverse Resort. The resort is home to a beach club and spa, shopping gallery, onsite entertainment hub, and five restaurants, so there’s plenty to see and do. The Turtle Creek Casino is also nearby (and accessible via complementary shuttle) if you’d rather enjoy off-site entertainment on this final night of your vacation.
