EXPERIENCE DETAILS

Highlights

  • Nurturing your mind, body and soul in one of Colorado's most iconic towns.
  • Learn photography with award-winning photojournalist Kevin Gilbert.
  • Shoot Colorado's most photographed mountains the Maroon Bells at the peak of the fall leaf peeping season.
  • Hiking, horseback-ride and off-road through the spectacular Elk Mountain range.
  • Visit the beautiful Ashcroft Valley as well as two ghost towns, remnants of Aspen's early mining days.
  • Known for its five-star accommodations, spend your nights at the famous Hotel Jerome after exquisite gourmet dinners.

More than a physical town, Aspen is an idea — a place where you can nurture your mind, body and spirit as one, where everyone from Hollywood celebrities and the Fortune 500 list to outdoor enthusiasts and ski bums can experience awe-inspiring discoveries that make it so much more than a spot on the map.

Immerse yourself in this idea with a weekend trip to one of Colorado’s most iconic towns, where you’ll expand your knowledge of photography with award-winning photojournalist Kevin Gilbert while hiking, horseback-riding and off-roading through the spectacular Elk Mountain range.

At the height of the fall foliage season, when the aspen groves turn golden and scrub oak burns red and orange, you’ll have opportunities to capture the colors at both the blue and golden hours, as well as in between. Photo classes include shooting a night sky, the Maroon Bells — the most photographed mountains in Colorado — and the beautiful Ashcroft Valley's two ghost towns, remnants of the area’s rich mining history.

Beyond the natural beauty, Aspen is also known for its high-quality accommodations and dining. Rest your head each night at the Aspen Square Hotel where every unit includes a wood burning fireplace. Enjoy an exquisite gourmet meal at the Pine Creek Cookhouse, as well as a steak dinner among the aspens after your horseback ride, complete with a private chef and fine table linens.

With your mind, body and soul rejuvenated, this weekend in Aspen is so much more than leaf-peeping. While the fall colors will eventually fade, your memories, and your photos, never will.

Do I need to bring my own camera?
Yes, please bring the device you would most like instruction on how to improve shooting with and any associated accessories. Phones and digital cameras are also acceptable as our photo coach has lighting and editing tips for all types of apparatuses!

What if I am not comfortable riding a horse? Can I still attend the creekside dinner without having to ride?
Yes, there is road access to the dinner site and riding is not required. Please let your Manifest Customer Care Representative know in advance if you would like to make alternate arrangements.

I see this trip is intended for double occupancy in a room with a king bed, what if that doesn’t work for me?
A selection of the fireplace studios have the option to have two twin beds or may include a queen-sized sofa sleeper. Alternatively, we can reserve an entirely second studio, at your expense, if you and your travel companion need more privacy. As always, whatever the need may be, please contact your Manifest Customer Care Representative, so we can help find the solution that works for you!
