The first is a private walking tour of historic Santa Fe, where you’ll spend 2.5 hours leisurely exploring the city with your knowledgeable local guide. You’ll learn more about the area’s popular landmarks and legendary art scene, get an up-close look at Santa Fe’s Pueblo and Mission-style architecture, and hear fascinating stories from the city’s past. There’s no better way to immerse yourself in the energy of Santa Fe than by walking the tree and adobe-lined streets around Santa Fe Plaza, Cathedral Park, and nearby neighborhoods. 

Your second excursion is a guided, full-day trip across the Rio Grande to Bandelier National Monument and a visit to the historic Spanish village of Chimayó. With a driver and guide, you’ll explore the cliff dwellings, petroglyphs, and ruins of ancient Pueblo villages within 33,000 acres of protected land about an hour west of Santa Fe. Then from the sculpted canyons of the Pajarito Plateau, you’ll travel to the village of Chimayó, north of Santa Fe, for a lunch of traditional New Mexican cuisine and time to visit the town’s historic church (El Santuario de Chimayó), weaving shops, and local artisans before heading back to your hotel.

In addition to the planned activities, you’ll also have plenty of free time to get out and experience more of Santa Fe on your own. Stroll through town and visit the shops and galleries along Canyon Road. View (and shop for) Native American jewelry at the Palace of Governors. Tour the exhibits at the famed Georgia O’Keefe Museum. Lace up your hiking boots and hit the trails at Ghost Ranch or Plaza Blanca. Play a round of golf at one of the nearby clubs. Or spend an afternoon relaxing at one of the hot springs, just outside the city.
