If cities had soundtracks, none of them would sound like Nashville’s. Music City combines country, bluegrass, rock, pop, Americana, gospel, classical, jazz and blues — all in perfect harmony to create one of the best places in the world to remember music’s greatest, see today’s top artists, and maybe even find the next big thing.
Over three days and two nights, your playlist includes live music each night, a show at Backstage Nashville featuring country’s best songwriters, city tours with Nashville incumbents and a private recording session on Music Row.
You’ll be met first in Nashville by Bill DeMain, a Grammy-nominated music journalist, for a walking tour packed with history, trivia and behind-the-scenes anecdotes that will tell the real story of how Nashville came to be called Music City. Enjoy Nashville’s famous hot chicken for lunch while exploring the city’s food scene in Germantown before an evening in the city’s hottest neighborhood, The Gulch, near your luxury boutique hotel.
Don’t overdo it on night one, because the next morning you won’t want to miss the Musicians Hall of Fame, followed by lunch and a show at Backstage Nashville, full of country music’s top songwriters and Nashville’s hottest rising stars. Take a driving tour of the city with a local singer/songwriter who can give you the insider tips for what clubs to hit that night.
For the grand finale, you’ll have an opportunity to see music magic made at Imagine Recordings, the studio where greats like Johnny, George, Alan, Reba and Jimmy have all recorded hits in its sound-perfect environment.
Take the afternoon to wander the city at your leisure, soaking up the final notes of Nashville before the return trip home.
