Home to both Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, the otherworldly landscape surrounding Moab, Utah has the most unique scenery you can find in the American Southwest. With thousands of miles of hiking trails alongside the cool waters of the Colorado River, Moab also offers small town charm and hospitality with a diverse collection of restaurants, microbreweries, shops and galleries.
Head straight from the airstrip to Arches National Park and begin your trip with a three-mile trek to Moab’s most famous vista, the Delicate Arch. Spend the afternoon off-roading through the technical terrain surrounding town. Wind the evening down with an intimate dinner in the heart of downtown Moab.
After an early wake-up call and breakfast, head back to the airport for a scenic flight through Canyonlands National Park. Catch a once-in-a-lifetime bird’s eye view of remote canyons and thundering rapids that are practically inaccessible on foot. Continue the adrenaline filled day with a rafting adventure down the Colorado River which takes you down the “Onion Creek”, “Cloudburst”, and “Rocky” rapids. At night, experience some of the darkest skies remaining in the United States and gaze upon an estimated 2,500 visible stars during an astronomical tour including telescopes and a guide.
On your final day in Moab, choose your own adventure with options for mountain biking or hiking the area’s world-famous trails before the last short hike in Moonflower Canyon to see the petroglyph wall, dating as far back as 5500 BC. Flying over the La Sal Mountains to the east of Moab on your way home to Denver, look back for one more sunset over the most stunning red rock landscapes on Earth.
