This one of a kind vacation takes you from the sophistication of Cape Town to the thunderous waters of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, and finally to an exciting safari expedition in Botswana.

Your accommodations throughout the trip are comfortable and luxurious. Most of your meals and beverages are included, while special touches like candlelit dinners and sumptuous brunches will make you feel like you are at a gourmet restaurant. You’ll rest easy each night, surrounded by the comfort and conveniences of some of the region’s best accommodations.

In Cape Town, we’ve arranged for you to enjoy two privately guided tours. The first is a full-day sightseeing tour of Cape Peninsula and a visit to the iconic Table Mountain. Weather permitting, you’ll enjoy a spectacular cable car ride up to the two-mile wide plateau at the top, where you’ll have stunning views of the city and ocean below. You’ll also visit the southwestern tip of Africa, known as Cape Point, stopping along the way for a coastal lunch and to see the penguins nesting and frolicking at Boulders Beach. You can also enjoy the winding scenic drive towards Chapman’s Peak, with breathtaking vantage points that rise over 1,900 feet above sea level. Be sure to bring your camera, because the views along the way are spectacular!

Your second private tour is a full day in the Cape Winelands region, complete with visits to some of the area’s top wine estates and vineyards. We’ll arrange for you to tour the wineries, meet with winemakers, and enjoy a private tasting at each. You’ll also have time to explore the lovely town of Franschhoek, home to famed eateries, art galleries, artisanal chocolate shops, and beautiful examples of Victorian and Cape Dutch architecture.

Both tours are a fantastic way to see the sights and experience life in Cape Town and the Cape Winelands and learn more about the fascinating history and stories of South Africa.

For your safari adventures, you’ll explore vastly different regions of southern Africa —the private Manyeleti Game Reserve near Kruger National Park, the lush Victoria Falls region of Zimbabwe, and the diverse and rugged wilderness of Botswana.

Owned and managed by the local Mnisi tribe, Manyeleti is a quiet, pristine safari destination, well off the beaten path and home to the elusive leopard, a variety of large game, and over 300 species of birds. It borders the fenceless western side of Kruger National Park, allowing wildlife to roam freely between the two.

Located between the Limpopo River to the south and the Zambezi River to the north, Zimbabwe is home to stunning landscapes, namingly the majestic Victoria Falls—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest waterfall in the world. Though there are plenty of animals to view in Zimbabwe, we suggest you use your time to explore Victoria Falls from as many vantage points as time permits. A walk along the falls will thunder and resonate deep inside your being, while a helicopter ride over the falls, deemed The Flight of Angels, will leave you awestruck.

Beautiful Botswana, known for its abundant wildlife and remote places to explore, boasts some of the highest concentrations of game—both big and small. Here, the annual zebra migration is closely followed by lion prides, while hippo and crocodiles laze in the waterways, and warthogs, elephants, and wildebeests roam the savannah. Whether you’re exploring the country’s Okavango Delta, massive salt pans, or the Chobe National Park, you’ll be wowed by wild, picturesque landscapes and incredible animal encounters that you’ll want to capture on film or video.

Your twice daily game drives will start early as you head out with your guide at dawn to experience wildlife at its most active. You’ll observe herds of impala, giraffes, zebras and other plains animals from the comfort of a 4X4 open-sided vehicle. You’ll follow the tracks of Africa’s “Big Five”—elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhino—within woodlands and grasslands. 1Arrive in Cape Town, South Africa

On arrival in Cape Town, a special meet & greet has been arranged to assist you through customs and immigration and to collect your bags. You will also have a private car and driver for your transfer to your Cape Town accommodation. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.

2Cape Peninsula and Table Mountain tours in Cape Town, South Africa

Your day starts with a spectacular cable car ride up Table Mountain (weather permitting), a flat-topped mountain forming the bulk of Table Mountain National Park. The main feature of the mountain is its level plateau, approximately two miles from side to side, edged by impressive cliffs. The plateau, flanked by Devil’s Peak to the east and by Lion’s Head to the west, forms a dramatic backdrop to Cape Town. This broad sweep of mountainous heights, together with Signal Hill, forms the natural amphitheater of the City Bowl and Table Bay harbor.

Head back down the mountain by cable car and proceed to the Southwestern tip of Africa, known as Cape Point, where it is said that two oceans meet. En route, you will stop at Boulders Beach to observe the famed African penguins as they frolick and nest. Yes, penguins on the beach!

You will continue your drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve where you will have an opportunity to view animals like the Cape Mountain zebra, mischievous baboon, and blissful ostrich; all of whom reside in the reserve among the indigenous fynbos. Along your route, you’ll learn how the treacherous rocks running along the Atlantic Seaboard came to be known as the ‘Ship Graveyard,’ why Bartholomew Diaz called this ‘The Cape of Storms,’ and why Jan Van Riebeeck proclaimed Table Bay as The Cape of Good Hope.

3Cape Winelands tour in Franschhoek, South Africa

There are few places on earth that can rival the Cape Winelands. With its unique combination of culture, history, and people, it is often called the “Gastronomic Capital of South Africa.” Here, you can feast on the beautiful landscape with your eyes and nourish your soul with award-winning cuisine and wines that rival some of the best in the world. And we will customize the entire experience for you!

Your day will begin with a drive to the quaint town of Franschhoek, home to wonderful examples of Victorian and Cape Dutch architecture. This lovely town plays host to some of South Africa’s most famed eateries and is surrounded by the region’s top wine estates. Some interesting places to indulge are the artisanal chocolatier’s shop, art galleries, and décor boutiques.

You’ll then proceed to the Anthonij Rupert and L’Ormarins Wine Estate, planted on the slopes of the Groot Drakenstein mountains. The property can be visited by appointment only, allowing for an exclusive and unique wine experience. Enjoy your private wine tasting at leisure in the tasting room of the farm’s historic and recently refurbished Manor House, furnished throughout in mid-nineteenth century Cape Dutch style.

Next you’ll head to the Boschendal Estate, which is one of the region’s best examples of original Cape Dutch style living and ethical farming. For over 300 years, this stunning estate had taken more than it gave to local communities. But the new owners are working hard to reverse that legacy. Spend some time discovering how they aim to succeed, while touring the winery and vineyards.

Then, be swept off to enjoy a delicious lunch at another of the stunning wine estates in the area, Jordan Estate. Following your decadent meal, you will return to your hotel in the late afternoon for an evening at leisure.

4Depart for Manyeleti Game Reserve, South Africa

After breakfast, you will meet your private car and driver for your transfer to Cape Town airport, where you will board a flight to Hoedspruit. Upon arrival at the Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met and transferred by road to your first safari camp. Enjoy lunch followed by a late afternoon safari game drive.

5Safari game drives in Manyeleti Game Reserve, South Africa

As part of the Greater Kruger Park region, your time here will be spent in the heart of the wilderness. All year-round, the reserve pulses with life as dramas great and small unfold between resident populations, including prides of lion, hyena, leopard, jackal, and an abundance of plains game such as elephant, zebra, gazelle, and giraffe. This prolific wildlife area just begs to be explored further!

Each day, you will rise early and depart with your guide to search for animal tracks and spoor, which will lead to unbelievable sightings both big and small. Walk with your expert guide, viewing herds of zebras and gazelle in the distance. In the evening, dine on exquisite cuisine and share stories of the day with fellow guests.

Manyeleti extends over 225-square-kilometers and shares a fenceless boundary with the Kruger National Park, the Timbavati Reserve, and Sabi Sands Game Reserve. With a maximum of eight safari vehicles traversing the reserve, each vehicle will have an average 2,937 hectares to themselves, making this one of the lowest vehicle density private reserves in the Greater Kruger Park region.

There are many ways to enjoy the views of Victoria Falls. We suggest seeing the falls via a boat ride, on foot with a private guided tour, and in the air with a helicopter ride over the thunderous falls water. You will no doubt be overwhelmed by the diversity of the Khwai wilderness. Track a pack of wild dog and experience the thrill of the hunt.
