Originally a mining town founded in the late 1800s, today’s Telluride maintains much of its historic appeal, but is now best known for its world-class skiing, luxury resorts, exceptional dining, and breathtaking vistas. It’s been named one of Travel & Leisure’s Best Small Towns in America, as well as one of the country’s Best Ski Towns, and it’s easy to see why once you visit.

For this trip, you’ll enjoy deluxe accommodations at one of the luxury resorts in Telluride’s Mountain Village, a short walk to lifts, restaurants, shops, and more. With chic, spacious guestrooms, onsite dining, hotel amenities, and high-end touches, you’ll have everything you need for comfortable nights in after exciting days out on the mountain. You’ll also have easy access back and forth between downtown Telluride and Mountain Village, thanks to the free, scenic gondola that connects the two towns.

During your stay, we’ve arranged for you to spend a full day on the mountain at Telluride Ski Resort, skiing and snowboarding across 2,000 acres of trails and bowls or enjoying the jumps, ramps, and rails of the mountain’s three terrain parks. If you’re new to winter sports or feeling rusty, you can book a private or small group lesson at the Telluride Ski & Snowboard School or hire an experienced guide to ski down the mountain with you. Enjoy the rush of quiet, snow-covered trails and amazing views on each run. And when you’re ready for a break, take the Plunge Lift up to Giuseppe’s or the Prospect Express to High Camp Warming Hut to relax and refuel with a quick, casual lunch at the top.

On another day of your trip, you’ll have the opportunity to get out and explore in a different way with a guided fat tire bike tour through the snowy Telluride wilderness. Customized to match your interests and abilities, this half-day ride will take you through quiet, wooded forests and onto backcountry trails as you learn more about the nature and wildlife of the area, stopping for amazing photos along the way. 

When you’re not skiing and biking, you’ll have time to experience more of Telluride and Mountain Village at your own pace. Take the 13-minute gondola ride between the two towns for fantastic views of the canyon below. Visit the Telluride Historical Museum or book a spa treatment at Spa Aveda. Have dinner at any of Telluride’s top-notch restaurants (221 South Oak, Black Iron Kitchen & Bar, and Allred’s Restaurant are always great choices). Go ice skating at Hotel Madeline’s outdoor rink. Book a fly-fishing excursion. Or head over to Dunton Hot Springs for a relaxing soak in the water there.
