Manifest has teamed up with Carbonfund.org in our efforts to become carbon neutral for our private flights through carbon offsets. Manifest purchases carbon offsets to mitigate the greenhouse gas emissions from the use of private aircraft for our Experiences.

Carbonfund.org Foundation is a leading non-profit carbon offset provider making it easy and affordable for both individuals and organizations to mitigate their climate impacts by supporting some of the best carbon offsets projects on the planet. Carbonfund.org supports the best carbon offset projects in three main categories; energy efficiency, renewable energy, and avoided deforestation/reforestation.

Carbonfund.org Foundation carbon offset projects are always verified to the highest third- party certification standards on the planet such as the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), the American Carbon Registry (ACR) and Climate, Community, and Biodiversity Standard (CCB.)

With this relationship, Manifest will invest in one or more environmental projects aimed at balancing out greenhouse gas emissions which contribute to global warming and climate change.

What is CARBON NEUTRAL? A company that’s carbon neutral (or carbon-free) is removing the same amount of carbon dioxide it’s emitting into the atmosphere to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by purchasing carbon offsets or credits to make up the difference.

What are carbon offsets? A carbon offset is a reduction in emissions of carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gases made in order to compensate for emissions made elsewhere. Offsets are measured in tonnes of carbon dioxide-equivalent (CO 2 e). One tonne of carbon offset represents the reduction of one tonne of carbon dioxide or its equivalent in other greenhouse gases.

Carbon offsets are the most practical and effective way to address climate change, while encouraging the growth of renewable energy and alternative technologies in aviation.

Where does Manifest’s offset go? Manifests offset will select a carbon offset project of energy efficiency, forestry or renewable energy.
