EXPERIENCE DETAILS

Highlights

  • Four days of skiing Mount Crested Butte, known nationally for its extreme terrain but with plenty of beginner and intermediate options
  • Slope-side accommodations at the Elevation Hotel, including pools, hot tubs and a spa to aid in quick recovery
  • A private tour and mixology course at a local distillery, complete with drinks and live music
  • Time to explore Crested Butte, one of the last true Colorado ski towns
Nestled in the West Elk Range of the Rocky Mountains, Crested Butte is one of just a few remaining true Colorado ski towns. There are no traffic lights, no chain stores, and no high-rise buildings, but there is plenty of charm — and powder — to go around.

After landing in nearby Gunnison, take a scenic drive through the East River Valley and arrive at the base of Mount Crested Butte. Your boots and skis are waiting for you to pop on and head up to enjoy the more than 1,500 skiable acres, known for some of the best extreme terrain in the nation but with plenty of runs for beginners and intermediate skiers as well. With three more days ahead of you, there’s no rush, and once the lifts close you’ll head for an après at the local distillery, complete with a tour, mixology course and live music.

With the rest of the weekend ahead of you, get a good night’s sleep at the Elevation Hotel, which includes an indoor heated pool and both indoor and outdoor hot tubs, perfect for recovering after a day on the slopes. Your room is complete with a mountain view, perfect for checking the conditions before heading out in the morning.

During your down time, be sure to check out the town. Off the mountain, Crested Butte has preserved its heritage with the false-front buildings along Elk Avenue, reminiscent of the mining days.

Enjoy your final lunch in town before a last glimpse of the mountains on your way home. Known as “the town that wouldn’t die,” thanks to its resilience through the booms and busts of mining, your memories of this town won’t be fading anytime soon.

FAQ

Are snowboarders allowed on this trip?
Yes of course!  Please let us know if you will be snowboarding and we will get you fitted with the perfect board for you.

I have my own ski/snowboard equipment, can I bring it with me?
You are able to bring your own skis/snowboard, but due to the size of the aircraft cargo, please ship them in advance.  Please contact your Manifest Customer Care Representative as we do have an industry partnership for this service.

Will there be some free time to explore the town of Crested Butte?
Yes, we’d be happy to take you into town.  We’ve designated some down time after skiing, so if you’d like to use that period to go into town, that's no problem.  Additionally, while this trip is geared towards skiing, you certainly do not have to ski every day.  Instead, that time can also be used for sightseeing, shopping, or another desired activity.
