Escape to eastern Tennessee and experience the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains while reconnecting with other women. Over three days and two nights, retreat to the wooded landscape of the Great Smoky Mountains, with opportunities to explore the nearby National Park as well as the quaint towns of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
Upon arrival, your first stop is in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where a beautiful hike tailored to your choice of difficulty awaits. Walk past wildflowers to find the waterfalls the mountains are known for, with endless possibilities for wildlife viewing along the way. After your day on the trail, head for some shopping in Downtown Gatlinburg and to the first of this trip’s three moonshine pit stops at the Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery. Sample all 13 of their homegrown shines, before heading to your hotel.
Overlooking nothing but the National Park, The Christopher Place is an award-winning bed and breakfast hidden on 200 wooded acres. Relax in a rocking chair on the veranda, or retreat to your room where your plush, four-poster bed awaits. Dinner is served by a private chef next to roaring fireplaces, with tables lit by candlelight.
After a delightful breakfast the next morning, spend the day boating on Douglas Lake, with lunch served on shore. Head into Gatlinburg that evening for a mountainside dining experience at the historic Greenbrier Restaurant, a tasting, and a cocktail-making class at the Sugarlands Distilling Company, followed by live music.
No girl’s weekend is complete without a little bit of shopping, so explore the boutiques in Downtown Pigeon Forge on your final afternoon following lunch at the Wild Plum Tea Room. Sip your last of the shine with a final tasting at the Old Forge Distillery before your closing dinner and departure.
After a full weekend of new experiences with your tribe, both yourself and your friendships will feel relaxed and restored.
